Welcome back to the twenty eighth edition of The Hardcore Files. It’s been nearly two months since Steve Blackman won the Hardcore Championship. Every challenger, every obstacle, the dangerous Steve Blackman conquered them all. But, now he might have his biggest challenger ever in Test. Could Test finally dethrone Blackman? Let’s get into it.

On his way to the ring, Steve Blackman was attacked by Test. Test brawled with Blackman out through the crowd, then down to ringside as the match began.
Test punished Steve Blackman with trash cans and trash can lids, until Blackman turned the tide of this match, and used a trash can lid to beat him down. Blackman went for the pin but it was broken up by Test’s partner, Albert. Test & Albert double teamed Blackman, but he began to fight back and Test accidentally sprayed Albert with a fire extinguisher. When Blackman finally got rid of T&A, Edge & Christian ran down and tried to take out Steve Blackman but he fought them off as well. Suddenly, Shane McMahon slid into the ring and hit Steve Blackman in the back of the head with a cane and pinned him to become the new Hardcore Champion.
After the match, commissioner Mick Foley suspended the Hardcore 24/7 rule so then Shane McMahon couldn’t get out of defending the title against Blackman in the rematch after Shane tried to have Edge and Christian take the title off of him to get away from Blackman. Poor Shane McMahon.
That was certainly a interesting match and post-match segment. Steve Blackman had to basically fight 5 men to finally lose the championship. But, next time we will see Steve Blackman get his hands on Shane McMahon in a one on one rematch at SummerSlam, so tune in next time for that, and for more of The Hardcore Files.
