The Hardcore Files #27 (Crash Holly vs. Al Snow)

Welcome back to the twenty seventh edition of The Hardcore Files. Last time we saw the weirdest match we’ve seen so far in this series, which ended with Crash Holly regaining the Hardcore Championship. Now, just a few days later; Crash Holly is defending the title against a familiar face. Let’s get into it.

Date: June 29, 2000

(Hardcore Championship) Crash Holly vs. Al Snow

Al Snow made his way down to the ring first, and hid under the ring, awaiting his opponent. When Crash made his way to the ring, Snow jumped out and attacked him, starting this match.

Both men brawled around the ring, hitting each other with anything they could get their hands on. Road signs, trash cans, lids, tables and much more surrounded the ring. But, when Crash Holly had a free moment, he ran. Crash ran into the crowd trying to get away from the deranged Al Snow. Sadly for Crash, he didn’t get that far. After being hit with a popcorn holder, Crash was sent back into a weapon filled ring. Crash tried to fight back, but Al Snow had a answer for everything Crash had. Then, as Crash Holly was sitting in the corner, Al Snow pulled out a bag. Curiosity ran wild as he slowly opened up a bag and pulled out a shirt… Uh, I don’t know about you, Al, but I don’t think a shirt is a weapon. But then, he put it on; revealing it was a bowling shirt. Of course, he followed up by pulling a bowling ball out of the bag before setting up, and rolling the ball into the crotch of Crash Holly. Damn, I know that didn’t feel good.

Al Snow introduced the steel steps, but Crash jumped up and hit the steps with a chair, making them fall on top of Snow. Finally, Crash got the break he needed and again, he tried to get away. While he was looking to leave, Steve Blackman made his way down to the ring, and clubbed Crash Holly in the back with nunchucks, then pinned him. Steve Blackman is the new Hardcore Champion!

After the match, the Mean Street Posse tried to attack Steve Blackman backstage, but he beat the shit out of all three of them. This could be the most dangerous Hardcore Champion we’ve seen yet.

Well, that was fun. That was probably the most enjoyable match we’ve seen since close to the beginning of the series. Steve Blackman is a very dangerous man, and I’m so excited to see where we go from here. Which man is so hardcore, he could take the title off Blackman’s waist? Check in next time to find out, and come back daily for more of The Hardcore Files.
